Land of the Free

This story is based on the song “Land of the Free” by the Finnish power metal band, Sonata Arctica. Unlike most of my other fan fictions, this has only one chapter, and thus placed within this page.

What a tragedy. The ones that can see are blind and the blind can foresee the future. Beautiful music now deaf to those that talk their way through life, and the deaf perform lovely minstrel arts. Earth stopped moving, stars dancing, sun and moon revolving. Winter became hotter, summer became colder, and nature wilder. Twisted reality, no life time guarantee, illusions of grandeur vanish in the land of the free.

Acts of humanity now minimal, destruction maximal. Rain hits hard on our backs, snow freezes our bones, wind scars our skin, water washes away our beauty. Laws of nature have been violated by humanity, action required affected humanity. Seeming to lose all, it has taken back its rightful property. Garbage pilled high, oceans risen higher. Flames got hotter, wind grew stronger. Armies marched, earth split open. Change within humanity takes a fast change in small time, nature has all time to change.

Man made music disappears, birds can be heard now from tree to mountain side. Machines lost and waiting for command, wolves and eagles free to roam and care not for command. Natural colors placed back in nature, no one to criticize true beauty. Life grows through out, death comes naturally. Secrets long gone, trust in nature found. Freedom has meaning again, no one slave or master.

The day will come, for someone to start it all over again. Humanity not above nor below laws of nature, all are equal. Accept this new time, age of wonder and peace for all. Space awaits still for us, but only with love shall we proceed. Twisted reality, no life time guarantee, illusions of grandeur vanish in the land of the free.
